Well, I was dreading (but kind of expecting) this to happen. Evangeline says that after Lost is over she wants to “drop off the radar for a bit” and she doesn’t think she’ll continue to act. She may or may not quit the business, but says she’s more likely to do off-screen work. Watch the video below to see Evi talking to E!’s Kristin on the set. I only watched the first part, I stopped it as soon as they got talking about Lost because I don’t want to hear any spoiler of any kind. So beware 
As a massive fan and someone who really appreciates Evi’s enormous talent, this is pretty sad news. I was hoping to see her in many more movies. What if she drops off the radar so much that us fans have no clue what’s going on…and I guess there’ll be no updates for the site either. Sad to think about, but of course she needs to do what makes her happy. And if she’s not passionate enough about acting like she said, then we’ll just have to deal with it….*sniff*

Biography
I’m with you, I was expecting this but am still sorry to hear it. I hope we’ll still get glimpses of her, maybe in interviews promoting charity work, or even the rare role that appeals to her. But either way I admire Evangeline for making the decision SHE knows is best and making her own path. And can’t blame her for disliking the frenzied attention, I’d hate it!

Yeah hopefully we’ll still get glimpses of her. I could really see her as an award winning actress in huge blockbusters. She has the talent! The Hurt Locker is nominated for an Oscar
