You’re selling perfume. You must be thrilled.
Yes, it’s very exciting. This is the first fragrance I’ve endorsed. I’ve been careful what I’ve put my name to. This was an great opportunity.
When you see the posters of yourself writhing around on a beach trying to look sexy, what do you think?
You just have to cross your fingers and hope for the best while you’re shooting it and I think the results are good. I’m very happy with them. So often in this industry you do something and think it’s going great but then you see the results and think: ‘What have I done?’ This is the complete opposite.
Were you really a missionary?
Technically, I suppose so, but I only went to the Philippines for three weeks to do work with my church. It’s become this story where people think I was doing it for years. It was very short-term. I was 18 and went as part of a team. We lived in the jungle and backpacked. It suited me because I love nature. I’m not a girl who needs to put on a whole face of make-up before I leave the house.
