February 27 Evangeline pictured leaving her New York City hotel

Despite being voted the sexiest woman on the small screen last week by US magazine TV Guide, Lost star Evangeline Lilly wasn’t letting the accolade go to her head. Indeed she was positively incognito on a recent outing in Maui, Hawaii, donning a broad sun hat and shades and covering up her bikini body in a flowing skirt.

The 27-year-old, who beat Grey’s Anatomy’s Katherine Heigl and Desperate Housewives’ Eva Longoria to the top spot in the poll, is clearly keen to make the most of her time away from the set of her action-packed series. Proving she’s a dab hand at multi-tasking, the actress simultaneously read her book while listening to her iPod and taking a stroll.

Well-known for keeping her private life out of the spotlight, Evangeline recently had her sense of humour put to the test when she let down her guard during a prank on Ashton Kutcher’s show Punk’d, to be aired on April 7. She joins other unsuspecting victims including fellow Canadian Nelly Furtado and Oscar winner Hilary Swank in the last season of the popular MTV series.

Evangeline Lilly admits to becoming something of a “water baby” since beginning work on her hit series Lost in Hawaii. And there was no doubting her enthusiasm for the sea when she hit the surf on the island of Oahu at the weekend. “I love being active and being outside, and Hawaii is the place to do it year-round,” the 27-year-old beach babe enthuses.

The outdoors life undoubtedly agrees with nature-loving Evangeline, who was looking super-toned in her bikini when she joined her parents and Brit boyfriend Dominic Monaghan – also a surfing aficionado – for the beach outing.

While she is reluctant to talk about her co-star romance in public, the actress has clearly been keen for her mum and dad to get to know the man she calls her “favourite person in the whole world”.
