Lost star Evangeline Lilly is philosophical about losing her possessions in a December blaze at her home in Hawaii, because the tragedy was a blessing in disguise.
The actress, who plays castaway Kate in the hit desert island drama, was renting a home in Kailua, Hawaii which was destroyed by fire last month.

The star lost everything she owned in the blaze, but insists it wasn’t all bad. She says, “Fire is the greatest purifier and it feels really good. It feels really pure to have no possessions. It’s kind of a fun place to be at.”

Uber-hot actress Evangeline Lilly has very select things to say about this new season of LOST returning in February, and that ‘s not because she is being secretive but she honestly doesn’t know what’s going to happen.

Lilly’s character has escaped the captivity of the Others, and is now on the run for her life, when asked by iF Magazine if she was going to catch some downtime this season Lilly says, “ I don’t know [if I get a break] because we’re only filming episode 313, so we’re only three or four episodes from the last you’ve seen and I’m still on the run.”

She confessed that they are given no foreknowledge about what’s coming on the show, but she is happy with the direction her character is heading.

“We don’t know anything beyond what they’re filming,” explains the actress. “At his point I feel really, really satisfied with where the show has taken my character and where its taken storylines. I just feel like it’s an open ended thing now and the focus could go anywhere it could focus on all of the other characters on the beach and that would be ok.”
