After spending her summer filming her first feature film and going on holiday to New Zealand, Evangeline Lilly is back in Hawaii and back to filming Lost. Wearing an embroidered cotton sun-dress, Evangeline, 28, laid out on the beach with a gal pal on Sunday in Oahu, Hawaii. Click the image below for the full set of pictures.

SATURDAY 21st JULY

“I met two of the stars of LOST yesterday! TV2 organised for us to meet and interview Evangeline Lilly who plays Kate and her real-life boyfriend Dominic Monaghan who plays Charlie. They are in NZ for two weeks for a wee holiday but did a day of publicity while they were here. We were so excited! I’ve already met Dominic once before. We interviewed him at the Lord of the Rings press junket, but it was still exciting to see him again and talk about LOST. We interviewed them separately and were told not to ask them any questions about their relationship! Damn. We had heaps of fun with them anyway, and they complimented us on our interviews, saying they were more fun than others they had done that day! hehehe.

Evangeline is GORGEOUS. And slim. And bubbly. She has a really nice vibe about her and seems very genuine. She laughed and made jokes and swore. She was eating Marmite on Toast when we walked in. Wow! Not many people ourtside NZ or Aussie like Marmite!”

New Zealand’s TV2 held a competition where two lucky fans would get to meet Evangeline and Dominic. Pictured above is the winner, Nathan Bettridge, with Dom and Evi.

Evangeline Lilly has revealed that she wants to keep the same hairstyle as her character, Kate Austen, on hit tv-show Lost.

Lilly was once keen to straighten her natural curls and finally got the chance when she signed up for a new movie role. However, to her surprise, she soon found herself missing the ‘Kate look’.

“I had been begging to let the producers on Lost let me get rid of the castaway hair for three years and this summer I finally got to do it for a movie,” Lilly is quoted by a newspaper as saying. “It looked completely different by the time they had finished with it.

“The only trouble was that I found I really missed my old look. I think I’ve got used to the Kate look.”

Evangeline Lilly plans to spend her trip to New Zealand in true Kiwi fashion - by having a beer with the locals.

The Canadian actor who plays Kate on the hit TV show Lost arrived in Auckland late on Thursday with her boyfriend and former co-star Dominic Monaghan.

The pair kept a low profile yesterday, giving a few interviews, before heading to Waiheke Island.

Today they embark on a holiday around the country.

Lilly was coy about the details of her trip but it is believed the pair will visit Wellington and Queenstown and places where Monaghan spent time filming The Lord of the Rings in which he played a hobbit.

“I’m hoping not to do too much sightseeing,” Lilly said.

“I’d prefer to find a little nook, find a little town or cabin … go and have a beer with some locals, walk through the farms, pick wildflowers, write, read, be on my own. That’s what I need here. That’s what I’m looking for.

“If I was in Egypt or India I think I’d want to go and see the sights. Here, it’s more about absorbing the spirit and the soul of this place … ”

Lilly, who turns 28 on August 3, says she has wanted to come to New Zealand ever since she was taught by a Kiwi school teacher as a 14-year-old.

“He went home for Christmas, brought back a slideshow, told us all about his country. I fell in love. I swore on that day that I would move here and raise my kids in New Zealand.”

Lilly returns to Hawaii next month to film the fourth series of Lost.

This year’s Emmy nominations have been revealed, and unfortunately Evangeline is not nominated for Outstanding Actress, nor is the show up for Best Drama Series :(

Terry (Locke) and Michael (Ben) however, are both up for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series — good luck to them!

Evangeline Lilly and Dominic Monaghan arrived together at Vancouver Airport. They got out of the car and kissed and hugged curbside. Once they saw the photographer they split up and tried not to be photographed together. They both caught separate flights, Lilly caught a flight to New York and Monaghan to LAX. Lilly gave the photographer the fingers which shows her engagement band. Lilly and Monaghan came together in a line but she let him go first and waited back because she did not want to be photographed together.
