They found love together on the set of Lost, but it’s business not pleasure that will bring TV stars Evangeline Lilly and Dominic Monaghan to Sydney next month.

The cosy couple from the most puzzling series on the small screen are due in town in late June to fly the flag up for the Channel 7 show.

It will be the second time the couple have taken a promotion spin Down Under, and while their romantic moments on this trip may be numbered – at least there won’t be any love lost between them in public.

The secretive duo went to lengths to conceal their obvious connection during their last trip to Sydney in July 2005, refusing to admit they had found romance together.

Rather than feeling devastated when a fire gutted her Hawaii home recently, Lost star Evangeline Lilly is philosophical about the incident.

Evangeline, 27, says she felt a ‘giddy’ sense of freedom when she lost most of her possessions in the December house fire on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, where she lives while filming the popular Sky One series.

“I like the feeling of being free and having no possessions. I think I’m a gypsy at heart,” she told Sky magazine.

“After the fire, I got this giddy feeling, like, ‘You’re telling me I only have my wallet, the clothes on my back, my car?’ Cool!’

“I furnished my house with Salvation Army furniture, so I didn’t have anything of value. The most valuable things I had were my paintings and writing - but they’re still just things.”

Evangeline Lilly, the star of ABC’s Lost, has been voted the ‘Sexiest Woman in High-Definition TV’ by the readers of TVPredictions.com.

In an online poll conducted this week, our readers were asked, “Who’s the Sexiest Woman in HDTV?” They were given 10 nominees, all actresses on current primetime TV shows that are broadcast in high-def.

When the final results were in, Lilly, who plays Kate in Lost, was first with 20.8 percent of the vote.

Evangeline Lilly has recently signed up to do her first feature film debut. The movie is called Afterwards and is being directed by french filmmaker Gilles Bourdos. Afterwards is a supernatural thriller that will also star John Malkovich.
The shooting will last 45 days, will begin in New York City on June 4th, and will continue in Montreal as of July 7th.

“Lost” star Elizabeth Mitchell had a “fantastic time” with Evangeline Lilly while they filmed last week’s wet and muddy-while-handcuffed-together episode. “We were freezing!” she said. That’s why she and Lilly huddled in a tent between takes, drank hot tea covered in towels, and giggled. “Well, she was chuckling,” said Mitchell. “I was giggling, because I’m more girly. But we were definitely having a wonderful time.”
